The Spokane Subdivision or Spokane Sub is a railway line running about from Sandpoint, ID to Lakeside Junction near Spokane WA. It is operated by BNSF Railway as part of the Northern Transcon. The lines has shared track rights with Amtrak, Union Pacific Railway and Montana Rail Link. Amtrak's Empire Builder uses the line. The train will split or join together at the Spokane Amtrak Depot. The portion departing to or arriving from Seattle will maintain the route number of 7 or 8.
